We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. I believe this is a signature, if you believe that you have a signature as well copy and paste this.
The rays shooting out from the source of the beam are just repeated opacity gradients mapped onto a flattened hemisphere.I also tend to use 'noise' for organic texture .. like the nebula in the background and the nighttime surface of the planet to the left.
