Truly impressive. As a guy who used to operate tanks and armoured cars I couldn't help wondering about the comfort of the crew inside, or how accurate one can be firing on the move. What would a hull down position be like for such a contraption? I know its just for fun, but you did such a great job you've got us thinking this thing could really work. Very well done.
It's based around the mechs from the Mechwarrior games where those things bobbed around a lot.You could still shoot straight regardless as if there was some sort of suspension system in place for the drivers' seat. But of course it's not meant to be completely realistic.. it's sci-fi.
Yeah,it does look odd.But I did put in a camera shake.I think it might be that I forgot to add motion blur to the ground plane object and background elements. I'll try to fix these issues and reupload later today.
Thanks.I like speedy renderings so I brought down the render time to a little over half a minute. For example the sky is all noise and gradient textures layered together so I didn't bother with volumetrics. Then added a sun from the lens flare feature in videopost. There's still some things I want to fix with it though so I'll probably reupload later today.
